Pulse Security Management were delighted to be chosen as the provider of event security staff for the recent IRONMAN 70.3 Dublin, Ireland. The security operation for this event was a collaborative effort between An Garda Síochána and private security company, Pulse Security Management.
The IRONMAN triathlon covered 220 km with three security officers being provided for every member of the Gardaí. This allocation of private security allowed for state resources to be greatly reduced from what would normally have been required for an event of this scale.
An integrated control room was used at Harcourt Square to fully manage and monitor the security operation. The event covered four separate County Council areas, which required careful planning by all involved to ensure the safety and security of both participants and the public throughtout the duration of the event.
Michael McQuillan, MD of Pulse Security Management, stated "we were proud to be selected as the security provider for such a significant event. We are looking forward to building on these collaborative opportunities in the future. This type of collaboration is a way to reduce public spending through the provision of private security for public events".
