Last month Terry Conlon PC|PGC|ACI|CPD qualified as the first and only NICP (National Institute of Crime Prevention) CPTED instructor in the EMEA region having met the NICP instructor criteria including academic requirement, CPTED practitioner portfolio submission and in class teaching and facilitating.

As a certified CPTED practitioner, security consultant and only non-US based current serving US CPTED Director Terry Conlon was invited to Escondido, San Diego, California, USA by the president of the National Institute of Crime Prevention Mr. Art Hushen to take the final steps in the long and rigorous process of becoming the first and currently only certified NICP CPTED instructor for the EMEA region by way of facilitating the CPTED class at Escondido police department in San Diego made up predominantly of law enforcement county sheriff and PD. 

Having met and exceeded the NICP requirements set out for new instructors Terry was successfully appointed a CPTED instructor CPTED Training | Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design allowing him to deliver the basic 5-day and advanced 3-day courses leading to the CPTED CPD qualification for successful students.

This global qualification will be offered by the NICP in the EMEA region from 2023 by their new CPTED instructor beginning in Dublin with proposed classes in Frankfurt, Manchester, and Dubai.
