Axis Communications and ASIS Ireland announce new three-year partnership deal
Axis Communications has agreed a partnership deal with the Ireland Chapter of ASIS International. The new three-year sponsorship package with ASIS Ireland is expected to support the advancement of security professionals in the region through education, networking and thought leadership events.
The partnership will further boost the skills and development of the industry-leading professionals that make up ASIS International’s Ireland Chapter membership, bolster communication between them, help to create new industry leaders, and solidify the shared vision of both ASIS Ireland and Axis Communications.
ASIS International, a leading industry body providing training, certification and ancillary programmes to a diverse membership of security professionals, boasts a global community of more than 38,000 members. The association is divided into over 250 regional chapters, with its largest membership growth now outside of its HQ in the USA.
Joe Cully, Chairman of ASIS Ireland, says: “This new partnership with Axis Communications is a fantastic opportunity which allows us to significantly expand the efforts of the ASIS International Ireland Chapter and offers our members extensive benefits. ASIS Ireland members represent virtually every industry in the public and private sectors, with roles ranging from entry-level managers to CSOs and CEOs, with a broad mix of experience. The additional financial support to ASIS’ vital training programmes will help Chapter members from across numerous industries to elevate their skills.”
ASIS members are supported with peer-driven content designed to support security professionals and strengthen their position as trusted business leaders and advisors. Its four certifications are internationally recognised and demonstrate their holders’ competence and knowledge in the physical, investigative and operational areas of security. The highest ASIS certification, the Certified Protection Professional (CPP), is considered the global gold standard qualification in security management – something Axis’ partnership will help ASIS Ireland members to achieve.
Kieran Byrne, UK Architect & Engineering Manager at Axis, says: “Aligning with ASIS International is a natural move for Axis. Our core philosophy is built on a commitment to innovation, collaboration, learning and development in the security sector, and that’s something ASIS strives to provide to each and every one of its members. ASIS members are the best and brightest in the field – supporting ASIS strengthens the entire security industry.”
“Working with Axis,” concludes Joe Cully, “enables the ASIS Ireland chapter to set up training days and deliver more comprehensive programmes, and to make use of new materials and facilities. This training is particularly helpful for those transitioning from sectors such as policing or the military, as ASIS certification is a recognised demonstration of the application of their ability in civilian fields. Axis’ support will also help ASIS’ communication efforts to be expanded to reach and educate more security professionals on vital issues surrounding the industry, and to extend the potential of ASIS Ireland’s regular member seminars and events.
This three-year partnership with ASIS Ireland demonstrates the strength of Axis’ vision for the future of security. But this is not the first time Axis and ASIS International have worked together, as we have been long-term supporters of ASIS initiatives for many years, and we look forward to continuing our collaboration.”
ASIS Ireland events, which comprises of seminars and training delivered by industry leaders as well as vital networking opportunities for ASIS members, have been held at the corporate campuses of companies such as Meta, Amazon and Indeed.
